I took the plunge and joined a health club yesterday, I say healthy club rather than gym as it has lots of things to offer, including an outdoor pool. I kind of held off before as my DH works away all week, and I have an 8 year old to look after, but I can bring her with me to this, and they do all sorts of kids classes including Junior Yoga and Street Dance classes, which means I can get on and do my bits.

So tonight we are going up there, and she is doing her junior yoga, and I intend to do 30 mins of cardio on this walker / hill walking machine they have, and then we will both have a swim for an hour, which is half swimming, half stopping DD from drowning Smile

Wish us luck, i REALLY want to stick with it, and strengthen my spine and of course, lose weight.

And don't overlook the gift you're giving your daughter... an active lifestyle so SHE can learn to love it, too.

Well I did around 20 lengths tonight, in between teaching my DD to swim / save her from drowning. I felt so much better after, even if I do ache to high heaven now!

Thanks Tril x

Yeah unfortunatly for us swimmers we can't stash a lap pool in our spare bedrooms. So the public pool is a neccesity... Some pools are definatly better than others that is for sure!

Yay Rooley. Swimming rocks and is such a good workout. Woot Woot.
