So, with great trepidation, I tried this today. I must be honest, I was put off by the look of the thing - like a big spongy fungus - but it was actually ok. My problem is, I canNOT stand the taste of artificial sweeteners. (People tell me that, if I just start eating / drinking them, I'll get used to the taste. But, really, I'd rather just do without.) So, I skipped the splenda and the DaVinci's, and used just the cinnamon and vanilla. Split in half, toasted a bit, and spread with cream cheese, this thing wasn't bad. Helped my psychological craving for bread, even if it was a bit odd. Sorry to be so luke-warm on this recipe that everyone loves... maybe I need to try a new variation![]()
