Hello Joe from across the pond
We are about the same weight at present although you have a couple of inches and 25 years on me! Great to hear you are progressing well.

oh yeah, got my first have you lost weight this week. Ironical by a TSA agent going through airport security. She gave me a this doesn't look anything like you and I responded "really?" Then she kinda double taked it and said that I've lost weight.
Good on ya Joe. salute I'm looking forward to that kind of reponse from the border guy when I do my 'border-hopping-shopping' in the future.
Excellent Progress! You're very consistent. I hope to do as well as you. Good job. thumb
I was hoping to get a super "woosh fairy" that you guys talk about and see a 2 in front of my weight for Christmas morning, but doesn't seem that it'll happen.
Sub 300 will for sure happen for New Year's Day though. I was pretty close this morning 8)

299.6 it still reads 33% for BF. Doesn't suprise me since I don't seem to be losing any of the fat out of my legs yet. (going by inches on my legs)
oh yeah. I still haven't had a carbonated drink ( including alcohol) since a week after I started. 12/8 ish. I guess it doesn't seem all that long to you guys, but it's like I don't ever remember drinking coke at all. Kinda wierd. Drink the stuff all your life, don't drink it for two or three weeks and you don't even think about it. Especially, since I can remember NUMEROUS times on me having to make Coke runs.
thumb CONGRATULATIONS!!!! thumb
Most excellent progress! Keep up the good work!
Joe... good luck! Sounds like you are doing something that I think a lot of people don't do when they "start Atkins"--plan ahead! I really think that the most important thing about "doing Atkins" is getting your mind set to it, making the committment and sticking to it! Sounds like you are well on your way!
When I eat out--which isn't often--I try to eat somewhere that serves breakfast all day--such as Denny's. I can get a ham and cheese omelet, or an ultimate omelet with onions, peppers, cheese and meats, and they will substitute cottage cheese (after induction) or tomato slices for the hash browns.
It's hard when you have to eat out a lot, but you can get grilled meats at most restaurants these days, and lots of places offer sauteed veggies and salads... so it CAN be done!
And if anyone can do it, I think you can!
Good luck!
