Why the Scale Lies Low Carb

I am on my ipad and cannot copy this post and paste it here but it is a GOOD one.
I am Arlene and Dr Mary Vernon says it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaquSijXJkQ for me. I used to stand under my plum tree waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall, now I stand near a coconut tree.

Hi there! It's been a long time.

I particularly agree with this line from the link: Water retention masks fat loss

It is all about managing sodium (but some things like hormones are a bit out of our control).

It is really important to keep your sodium intake in mind if you see an upward fluctuation on the scale. What did you eat yesterday? You may not have gained weight at all.

I always remind myself not to be disappointed after I have shrimp. This is one of the best protein to calorie foods out there. You can eat a pound of shrimp and take in only 400 calories. I know a pound sounds like a lot, but I really like seafood.

On the other hand, there is lots of sodium. After all, they live in Salt water. And even though I tell myself, I know it will show up on the scale the next day, just stay the course, it is hard not to be disappointed. Still, I don't let it stop me from eating shrimp.

And that is a good reason not to weigh every day.

Hi Kady! Maybe the scale says one number but I sure bet you are feeling better, and your body has a different shape. Good to see you!

    Hi Aradasky
Could you direct me to the ketone again ...I took mine using my diabetes tester this morning after testing my fasting blood which was 4.1 ...

Ketone was 0.1 .. I tested that after eating so I'm not sure if that makes any difference
Thanks ..I should pop in more often
