For supper tonight (Sunday) I am going to make some Hamburger Steaks with minced chicken..
A skillet full of sliced onions and sliced fresh mushrooms in a sauce of broth and herbs and spices..
My burgers will, after being seared, go into the sauce to cook and absorb the taste of the sauce..

Steamed cauliflower will be the veggie..

I have never made this recipe before but it seems simple enough..
I used to live to eat......... Now I eat to live.....
Even a Fish wouldn't get into trouble if it would only keep its mouth shut..

OK... Its now just after 8:00pm and we just finished supper..
It was super good, so much that there isn't any leftovers.. Next time, a bit more sauce would be good, but it was very tasty anyway..
There was one pound of minced chicken, and we ate everything..
I hereby declare that we are big PIGS !!!!! Overate for sure..
I used to live to eat......... Now I eat to live.....

    For supper tonight........ well............
We were in Sudbury for the last appointment to see Annmarie's specialist before her operation next Tuesday..
After the appointment, we went to Wallmart, and I then realized I had forgotten to take something out for supper, so I bought 2 BBQ chickens.. On special 2 BBQ chickens for $15.00.. Each chicken can easily feed 4 people..
Came home and we ate half of a chicken for supper (each 1/4).. That means we will have the other half tomorrow...................... but...........
    I bought 2 chickens.....
does that mean we will be eating BBQ chicken for the next 4 days???? ......................I sincerely hope not.....
I used to live to eat......... Now I eat to live.....

I have a pound of grass-fed beef and one of italian sausage that I will mix together, add chopped onions, herbs and spices and form four patties with. I will broil them and make guacamole with some very ripe avos I have. We will eat two and I will have some left for when hubby is gone.

and Arlene I am so opposite. I prefer grain fed over grass big time. Funny how everyone's tastes run so diff. on the meats.

I am still on those BBQ chickens I bought..
One chicken is for 2 meals for us.. I bought 2 chickens so we have 4 meals out of them..
Today (Thursday) will be the last meal out of those "Dead Birds".......
Now, I can assure you that it will be a long time till we eat BBQ chicken again from Wallmart..

However, I was thinking, when I bring my wife home from the hospital next Friday that stopping at Wallmart and bringing home a BBQ chicken will be a fast meal..
I used to live to eat......... Now I eat to live.....

Steve, watch out for the nightmares staring Walmart BBQ chicken leftovers!!!

It is early in my day, but staying on watch for fire movement. The wind can blow embers for miles.

I am about to fry up almost a pound of bacon, and then scramble some eggs to start my day. Hungry early....

    Its all over...............
We finally finished the darn chicken.. I've eaten so much chicken lately that I now have feathers up and down my back..
Last night, I started clucking in my sleep..
If this would continue on, I was almost ready to start laying eggs..

tomorrow (Friday) is food shopping day but this time I will be buying just a bit as we are off on Monday for the week..
Trust me, I won't be buying any chicken.. I still have tons of chicken frozen in the house, but I won't be using it anytime soon..
Most likely tomorrow supper will be a piece of fish......
