    Higher protein, not in ketosis

    This is Tom Naughton's Yes, It's A High Protein Diet

    I have read recently and one letter brings it up in the comments that high protein can cause insulin spikes that cause glucose to go up, hunger and weight gain for some who are seriously insulin sensitive. I am not sure if I am anymore.

    Tom now eats more protein and more carbs. He stopped being in ketosis a while ago.

    More to think about.

    Again, understand ur macros. If u understand what carbs and protein do(cause insulin spikes), then u can approach from that standpoint. I, for one, want to keep those levels it's tied to longevity research
