    No worries, it could be anything and if you are sure you haven't introduced any sugars ( in any form ) or any non allowed foods, or any of those "evil" little atkins snack bars, then the weight will fall. Some days I can actually gain weight when I pee...figure that one out. And something like a cup of coffee can increase my weight by 5lbs but it will always stablize. Could be water ( not sure how old you are as far as mensys cycle goes), Could be alot of different things and we have all had it happen at one point or another but don't let it derail you. I'm in week 5 and a number of those weeks I know ( cause I peeked) that during the week I had gained but my weekly losses have been there. Go by how you feel not the scale. Do you have more energy and are your clothes a bit looser?

    Hi Elizabeth

    Don't be disappointed in yourself for any reason. Do you have the latest Atkins book? I keep it close by and I also keep a journal daily of everything I put into my body.

    I have been where you are right now and did feel frustrated. I didn't give up because I knew a better day was coming when I would see a drop in my weight and measurements. I lose very very slowly and sure don't knock off numbers like some members do. Some days are better than others.

    I am almost 69 and like Arlene I PLAN to live to 100....maybe more!

    Don't give up! You are worth the effort it takes and nobody said this was EASY!

    Elizabeth, Hi!
    Maybe if you post what you eat we could help more. Are you tracking everything you eat? How much do you have to lose? Also, some people stall after the first week or so, the body thinks it is starving and had to find out that you really are going to give it lots of great food!! LOL

    Elizabeth... did you weigh yourself the 2nd week exactly the way you did the first? If you weigh yourself later in the day you will always weigh more than an early morning, after you pee, before you eat/drink anything weigh in. Did you weigh naked both times? One 16 oz glass of water weighs 1#. Don't forget to factor in the scale itself. Scales are not totally reliable. Some scales you can't get the same number twice if you get off and get back on. LOL So, hard as it may be... try to let this weigh in "go". Focus on what you CAN control... and that's today. See what happens next week.

    Arlene is right... post what you're eating and let us see if there's something missing or if you're having more carbs than you might think you are. That happens a lot in the beginning.

    Tril is absolutely right about those scales. They can show different numbers within seconds.

    Keep on keeping on and remember YOU ARE WORTH IT!

    Elizabeth, I am sorry that you are not seeing the numbers on the scale going down and yes, that is very frustrating. I too have the same problem and lose extremely slowly if at all.

    However, the fact that your clothes are feeling looser is a sign that indeed your body is changing and eventually the scales will show that as well.

    Check all the foods you are eating and maybe there is one that is a problem food for now.

    I am sure Tril will have some answers for you.

    Try and smile and just keep with the program. NEVER GIVE UP!

    We are all here for you and each other.

    Elizabeth, let me give you a challenge. You say you are seeing and feeling a difference. That means something is working here.

    Now, this will be hard to do mentally because the scale is a way that we pat ourselves on the back with instant gratification. It also works the other way and causes great guilt of we don't see the numbers we want.

    =============
    Here it is, my challenge to you. DO NOT STEP ON THE SCALE FOR ONE MONTH. Keep eating the right way and see what happens.
    =============

    How much do you weigh now and how much do you have to lose? If you don't want to take the challenge tell us this info and what you are eating. Maybe we can help.
