Well, I started back doing Atkins on Wed, I was really shooting up the scales. I altered the ticker to reflect my new starting weight which is 4 lbs above my original starting weight Anyhoo, good results so far, since Wed until today Sun I have dropped 5lbs 203 lbs or 14st 7lbs in our money, it's been a tough time but looks like I could be back on track again

Hi Jogger and welcome back. Sorry I know I'm a bit late with that. Cancer is such an aweful thing and so invasive. My father in law has been fighting LC for years and is doing well at the moment but we all know how quickly that can change. I think over the years he has had about 6 or 7 other forms as well. I am so sorry for your loss.

Those few extra lbs you bumped up will be gone in no time and perhaps having your eating style to focus on will help you right now. Either way I'm glad you are back with us.

Jogger, YEA!! On your dedicated restart and you are doing so well!!! You should be very proud of yourself.
I am Arlene and Dr Mary Vernon says it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaquSijXJkQ for me. I used to stand under my plum tree waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall, now I stand near a coconut tree.

Well I've hit the 200lbs mark just hoping tomorrow I drop another pound to get under the magic 200lbs and back to were I got to a few weeks back. Pleased with it so far, really trying hard to stick to it and suceeding. My apetite definitely seems to be a lot less than it was, which for me is half the battle, the other half is discipline.

HURRAH!!!! And Best of Luck in the coming days when you DO go under 200! Actually, Luck has nothing to do with it. You are creating your progress, not luck, with all your hard work. YAHHOOOO!!

Well said Arlene. It IS the hard work that pays off. All the planning and all the dedication! When you don't put in the effort...you don't see the results. I know right away when it's my fault I'm at a standstill and I'm the only one who can change that! I feel for those who try very hard without the results and I think the fact that they still stay on track shows great stregnth. That alone makes them winners in other ways.

You will be under 200 and join the ranks of the "oners" before you know it! Good luck! It's been 4yrs since I was there LOL

    Hi Jogger,
I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your brother to lung cancer. Yes, smoking is a terrible thing but a hard habit to kick.

I know you will be sad for a long time but he will always be in your heart and in your memories.

Definitely he will be rooting for you to reach your goal of weight loss.

You are already doing well again.

You might want to check out this site and light a candle in remembrance of your brother. You just click on the wick of one candle and name your brother, name a Group to which you belong....e.g LC and then you get to say a few words and your candle gets lit and stays that way fro 48 hours.

I lost both my in laws to cancer and they both were smokers. I miss them every day!
