So I just figured out that I have 18 1/2 weeks to go till hubbys family reunion. If I can maintain 2 lbs a week I will be down 54lbs which should at least get a bit of notice over last year and would put me at the weight I was when I met my sweetie. OMG I cried when I saw those pictures of me out in the boat. It was sick. Everyone in bathing suits in the water and me in my potato sack clothes in 100 deg heat. The only thing I had going on was a great tan. The before picture I posted on here was the year before last and I weighed about what I do now but last year was horrific and for total humiliation, I had to be "positions" in certain places in the boat to balance the weight load. I just can't go through that again this year so hold me up and kick my butt people. Do not let me sabbotage myself!

That story is sad. Don't even let it pass through your mind. Look how far you have come already in such a short time.

You WILL SUCCEED and be prepared for the accolades you will receive at that reunion!

WOW Allie! You really need to get a website going and put your "product " out there. There will be "buyers for sure.

I think Jim's days are passed for doing stained glass. He keeps saying he wants to do more, but I think it is just a wish and not anything he will do! Too bad because I loved those days when I was stitching and he was creating his stained glass.

Life is what it is and very short!!

Have a great week and thanks for sharing in so many ways.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! I LOVE stained glass!!!! But I have never done it myself. I was into crewel, embroidery and crocheting. Now I write when the muse hits me. But these pictures are incredible! Thank you for sharing!

Allie your 2 pounds gone are such a good reason to celebrate!!!! Hurrah for you!!!!! And your reason is a great picture in your head to stop you from doing any sabotage to the wonderful slide you are on. I have a picture of what I use to look like on my mirror. I look at it every morning. ick. disgusting and sick. I have it in a corner, covered with a sticky note so DH does not have to see it all the time. LOL But I look at it.

Yes, Jo, it is in the past, but the past has a way of creeping up on me. I will take the picture away wehn I don't need it anymore. BTW, Great choice for your avatar, Jo!!!!!
I am Arlene and Dr Mary Vernon says it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaquSijXJkQ for me. I used to stand under my plum tree waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall, now I stand near a coconut tree.

    Good Morning Arlene & All,

" Today is the first day of the rest of my life!"

It is gloomy outside but I woke up with a smile on my face and as always said Thank you God for giving me another morning, let me do my best. That sort of "jump starts" my day as well as a group hug with my DH and Shadow. Next thing I had a glass of water and DH made my large mug of green tea and here I am to wish you all a very good week.

I will have a little breakfast in an hour or so. I cannot eat as soon as I get up.

It is wonderful to have a hobby which one enjoys. Writing is something I used to do a lot of Arlene and I have many many poems. I have written quite a few to my granddaughter and she, at 9 is starting to try her own hand at poetry. I encourage that. Many of the English students I taught enjoyed the poetry classes I gave as part of the curriculum in Grade 12. You can get out your feelings in poetry.

I totally get involved with my cross stitch which I taught myself when our youngest son was small and I needed something to occupy my time while he was sleeping and before the other two returned from school. I so love it and enjoy watching the little "x's form a picture on what started out as a blank piece of cloth. The pattern just "comes alive" a little more each day.

I made this one for my daughter-in-law when our granddaughter was born and now I am doing one for my other DIL for next Christmas since she always admired this particular one.

Keeps me out of trouble and my mind occupied.

Thanks again for all your help getting my picture posted Arlene.

    Have a good day!

Hi All, Hope everyone is having a great day!
Glad you are in better spirits today Jo and your needlepoint is amazing BTW.
I'm feeling kind of bloated today but then I kind of pigged out yesterday. All low carb but too much of it and I think I've gained back a lb or two which sucks. I haven't been motivated to prep food either which is not good because I'm back to work tomorrow and won't have time now. Instead of doing what I was suposed to I spent the day in my glass room working on a kaleidescope.
Geez I don't want to work tomorrow!!! Bleck!!!

Glad you got some time to work on your kaleidescope Allie. Look forward to see the finished product.

Hope you are feeling better to return to work.

    Have a good day!
