    ***Allies New Life***

Well I am Allie and I am at the start of an incredible new life. I was slim, trim & stylin' till I was about 30 and then everything went to H..... in a handbasket. A handbasket full of carbs, carbs and more carbs.....couldn't get enough. Oh yeah....and wine which I think everyone on here knows already LOL. Did I say I LOVE wine!

Anyways at 53 I have made a new "life choice" and am very excited about it! At the moment I am on day 11 of induction and although I have only lost about 3 lbs, I feel better already and thats what I'm really after. My pants are just a wee bit looser too.

The support here is incredible and feels more like extended family than a group of strangers. I am very grateful to everyone for being so welcoming, helpful and especially for those who kick my butt when I need it and stop me from making excuses for myself which is how I ended up in this position.

    "Bye Bye"......self indulgence
    "Bye Bye"......guilt
    "Bye Bye"......self destruction
"Bye Bye"....well....see you from time to time.....wine LOL

A girl has to have something to hang onto and at least I'm not a choc-o-holic

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE HERE AND REMEMBER WE ARE ALL HERE TOGETHER!

I'm having ticker issues at the moment and repair buddie is out of town at the moment but I hope to have it fixed soon.

    Till then:

ALLIE!!!!!! You started your own thread! Wahooo! Now you are (or should be?) committed! You will find more and more, as you go along, that you wish someone had given you all this information long ago. I wish I had known it years ago. Congratulations.

for more inspiration, go here and read -- be sure to read fer enough or scroll to the video by

Thanks Arlene I will definitely check it out when I have a bit more time. I'm not going anywhere so I'm hoping this will help me keep thing straight. Maybe it's just in my head but I do feel like a have the tiniest bit more energy even though I have barely lost anything. Either way I am thrilled!

Thanks for all your continued support and inspiration!

I think I will be staying on induction, or close to it, for quite alot longer than 2 weeks. I don't feel like I'm missing anything really and I think a good jump start is what I need. I find it easy to follow for the most part and as long as I have things prepared I don't risk a fall so I try to make sure I always have a variety of stuff on hand and a bowl of SF strawberry jello to satisfy my sweet cravings when they come ( which isn't all that often so far) I should clarify that while I find it easy, I do find it frustrating that while theres lots of good stuff to eat it always seems like it's missing the underneath. Like cheese with no crackers and eggs with no toast under them. Or that yummy creamy curry seafood I made last night, see that should have had rice or pasta under it. It's not that I want the stuff but the food sort of seems out of place without its mate if you know what I mean LOL
    Guess it's a phsycological connection

Go here for a recipe that will help! Oops rolls. http://www.wellsphere.com/weight-los...die-for/185717

There are also muffins in minutes (mim) that are made from flax and eggs. Recipe should be here in the recipe section.

You know Arlene I'm almost afraid to try anything that resembles real bread, crackers or muffins because I suspect it will just make me want more so I think I will steer clear till I'm at least 1/2 way down my road. But thanks for the site and I will save it for when I'm feeling like I won't be tempted by the real deal LOL Right now it's just too dangerous LOL

Allie, you are right. A friend gave me a York mint patty, sugarless, at the beginning and I was Shocked at the feelings it brought back! I love my sandwichs and burgers on lettuce, like Clare said.

    Hi Ladies
Got your message Cheryl and thanks for the help. I am just so technically challenged LOL it's sad. My youngest son is a computer master so I usually let him fix things for me when he is around ( not that often though) . Tril got my ticker on here for me but it still has issues and doesn't seem to be linked to the site so nothing happens when I click on it to try to update it. Anyways it's not a big deal.

I'm doing just fine eating but did have a couple of rye and waters last night when we went to dinner at a friends last night. I took my own food with me though. Fortunately they were close enough friends that I felt comfortable asking if they would mind me showing up with my own plate. I'm still "peeing pink" as I like to call it so I don't think I did too much damage with the drinks. Now that the snow is finally starting to subside after a week of #@% weather, I am looking forward to getting out walking. I just want it to be spring so badly. I love getting out on the river and hunting for agates and it's so beautiful and peaceful there. It's a great place to just reflect on things and keep life in perspective.

Good luck tomorrow.....hopefully we will both have good news!

Glad you got your pic upload!!! Now we can see how beautiful you are!!! Your ticker probably doesnt work cause she put it on. You have to copy and paste it from your computer from the website. On the ticker website copy the links they give you and then come on here and go to settings up above and then on the right I think it says edit signature. Past it on there and it should work and then you can click on the ticker on your post and it should work. Let me know if that works. Good luck tomorrow!
