I wonder if your fat intake is too high? Something isn't right. What are you eating?

Yes Blue I do have IBS - had it for over 30 years. I'm not sure what else I can eliminate from this WOE. It has such pure foods. It just seems to me that every time I do this and increase the meat consumption I'm in trouble. Most of my meats are chicken, beef and fish. I'll see how I manage the next few days, but I have a feeling that the ration of fats, proteins and carbs for Atkins is the culprit for me. I've tried before starting in OWL to see if that helped but it was the same. I know it's a really healthy WOE so I don't want to give up yet. I'll post the menu later. I've got some revision to do tonight as I'm on a Tribunal panel tomorrow. Thanks

Went low fat low carb for the weekend and body normal again - but it made me very hungry! Will do some thinking. Atkins - it's not you it's me lol. I've been off and on this this WOE for more than two years, so I know how it's meant to be done. Thinking time!

Atkins isn't low fat, though... you shouldn't be hungry on Atkins!

Yes - but I think you were right that it's the fat content that is upsetting me. I modified things as an experiment. So I stuck to low carb as if I was on Atkins, but also went low fat, with lean cuts, no mayo, butter or added oils, dressing etc It's put my body back to normal but is not a satisfying way to eat. I should add that when I do Atkins by the book I am never hungry.

And I should have qualified my response... I knew you were concerned about the fat's effect on your digestion. I just didn't want anyone out there to think they had to eat low fat!
