    happy new-me

hi all, tracy returning here, but starting a new thread

things are going okay, got a job and moved to a new house, so i've been too busy lately!

also my eating has been utter crap, but i have been doing well lately (can yoiu believe that? even on christmas day was really good)

so i have great hopes for a healthy 2012...starting with making 2 pumpkin pies for work and family, and not having a single slice!

    hope everyone is well!

Hey, good to have you back! After you get time to put your life back together, the eating will fall into place. Whoop!
I am Arlene and Dr Mary Vernon says it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaquSijXJkQ for me. I used to stand under my plum tree waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall, now I stand near a coconut tree.

    hey all!

so today we went to sydney olymic park so we could play in the aquatic centre (it's school vacation time here and 39 degrees C! ugh!) thankfully my dh decided we should go early (9am) to beat the crowds, and boy did we ever! we played for about 2 hours then as were leaving and looking back down at everyone, we realised how PACKED it had gotten. and now we are home relaxing and it's only 2pm!

but the good food-news about today is that i played for 2 hours, and my dh had packed snacks for the kids, including 4 bacon and cheese rolls (beautiful white bread baked by satan) - and i was so tempted to have one, as i was starving! the thing is we can always justify: "i've been good, i'm starving, it's only todayblahblahblah", but instead i ate the bacon bits off the top, and told myself being hungry til i get home is better. and i didn't eat the satan-bun! (i did make my husband eat it - he is naturally slim). we stopped of at the grocery store, and i got some olives marinated in garlic and chilli to tide me over (YUMMO)

so now i'm going to have a coffee protein shake (leftover coffee from the pot, mixed with musashi, a bit of cream, and then put into the freezer til it is slushy...voila! iced coffee!)

gald to see everyone here - Bluey, TGrill, and Helen! happy new year to you and everyone!

    Wink

hi Helen - glad you're back! yes, the iced coffee is one of my creations - well, perhaps someone has created it before, but i made it up for myself - and it is absolutely amazing. i am so glad i thought of it, as it is really refreshing on a hot daymeanwhile i had an ice cream this evening, but you know what? i'm over beating myself up over crap like that! back to being good tomorrow, and if i'm good 99% of the time, well, then it's a good life. i had a burger for dinner with fried up cabbage (in butter) - it was beautiful.i'm also not weighing myself anymore. my scale is not good quality anyway, and i'm just going to live my life, doing the right thing most of the time, and see how my clothes fit. the scale tortures me unnecessarily anyway. (this is for me; not for everyone tracy-going-to-bed-soon

TGrill!?! LOL Sounds like some rapper dude with a full grill.

I really like your approach to things... doing your best without stressing the scale. I think it takes a while to reach that point. It must be a relief, in a way. You are truly living this way of life.

I'm okay... my youngest went to Army bootcamp yesterday. My oldest was home for xmas and left the same day. The dog and I are wandering the house lost. LOL

Diet wise I'm back in my groove after the holidays. I had lost almost 10# in December... but managed to gain back four in one week. Now I'm chipping it off again. I joined gym and I've been going most days. I like it.

    Onward, right?

hi all - back to work this week after 9 days off (incl weekends!) - had a great time swimming, playing, gardening, etc (it's summer here ). anyway, had chicken and a protein shake for breakfast, tuna, salad and mayo for lunch, and "piggy puffs" (who's line was that? i love it!) with cajun spice for a snack. (so far - haven't had dinner yet but it will be steak and pumpkin yummo!)a bit disappointed because dh called to say he has a teleconference tomorrow night so he won't be home in time for me to go to my bodycombat class....maybe some one else can come sit around here for the hour and a half. hope so!glad to be back on the Plan - my clothes were getting super-tight (not pretty) so i had to take control. feels good.i have a headache though today - don't know why. i've got my kids in vacation-care this week, and i was hoping to do some shopping after work as they can stay there all afternoon (work finishes at 2:30) but my stupid shoes were falling off so i had to come home. tomorrow, i'm wearing better shoes so i can head straight to the mall!!! sorry for the randomness of this post - just wanted to put some stuff out there....t
