I have been on induction for 7 weeks now and in the first 2-3 weeks i was jogging and hiking, but my energy levels were very bad and my legs felt like they were being starved of energy, and i found the whole exercise thing uncomfortable to say the least.
i went out for a short run yesterday as i havent done anything for nearly 4 weeks and was very worried. my usual 5k route is off road through a forest and starts off uphill for a mile which i was dreading, i put my headphones on and just went for and before i new it i was at the top. i think i must have had a body transplant or something because my legs felt nothing, not that horrible burning/dragging sensation, i managed a whole mile uphill and it felt like i had not even run, very weird. i have always hated hills as it felt like i was dragging a plough! I managed to finish the route in a decent time and the only thing that was tired was my lungs, but considering that i have hardly run for weeks i think thats a great result.
i was really sceptical when i was told in the beginning that i will switch to fat burning mode in a few weeks and be able to run again, but it has happened, and i can tell you it feels amazing, also i am a 16 lbs lighter which is a double whammy!![]()
