Went out walking for the last day here in Italy. Walked about two miles all around city. I had another yummy tuna salad, about twice the size of yesterday's. Same place, same order, same price! Lol, I guess they take me a regular now and not a tourist! Darn, i'm leaving tomorrow! Lol
I am looking forward to getting home, not the jet lag, though, but being on my schedule again. Th flights home I am not looking forward to. Wish I had a way to carry my food on board. Maybe I will grab some burgers and eat the patties while everyone else is eating their mystery meals.
I have done as well as I can here, not enough veges but... I will weigh myself tomorrow am. I forgot today...

One big thing is that I have been browsing another forum where many people post. I have been checking out some of the new progress reports and so many of them are people on what they call LC diets who are drinking or eating things that I won't eat now, and they are surprised when they are not loosing, or actually gaining. So many are gone for months our years and come back saying they gained it all back and are back to try again. I have lost 70lbs, regained 50 and am here trying this. It is scary to see all those posts, especially those who are stalled or gaining. I just hope all my will power holds. I really want this.
I am Arlene and Dr Mary Vernon says it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaquSijXJkQ for me. I used to stand under my plum tree waiting for the fruit to ripen and fall, now I stand near a coconut tree.

You will do this. Stay focused!! Take each meal one step at a time. Every time you think you are going to eat something you shouldnt say how hard will I have to work to get this off? Or ask is this what I should be eating. Do not eat out of enjoyment. Eat for necessity. My face breaks out when I eat tortilla chips. So I never eat them. So now I say if I eat that it will break my face out and believe me I do not want to break out!! You can do this!!

    Hi Cheryl!
We made it home after a long day flying, about 18 hours traveling. The meal on the plane this time was actually good! I was shocked! I also had two frankfurters in Frankfurt with mustard that were soooo good! Lol Anyway, I weighed my self yesterday morning, 183.3 pds. Yea! I kept it there! Then this morning, after yesterday of salads and veges galore and meat and even an Angus beef patty for breakfast (had no eggs yet but BOY was that yummy!) I weighed in this am at 182.6!!!!!! Wow! Yes, I am happy! Fasting blood sugar was 86 this am...... Whoop! All going the right way. So, I have lost 10 lbs now. I feel skinny, oh so skinny! I feel skinny and healthy today! Lol sorry, just had to sing again! Yum scrambled eggs, bacon cheese, butter, and spinach for breakfast. I am home....

PS. I was not hungry yesterday and did not eat enough. I was starving when I got up this am and looked at yesterday's log. No wonder! Needed to add more food. I will make an effort to stick in some celery and cream cheese today. I put away the Atkins bars to see what happens..... Sugar free jello for an evening snack. I have decided to stay at induction level for a while, don't know how long, but I am fine here for now.

Okay, you all may laugh at my next big goal........ Only weigh in once a week! I think I want the instant satisfaction of seeing a loss, but can get disappointed if I didn't loose. I WILL weigh only on Thursday mornings.

Lol....you are so right, Cheryl. I got hungry this afternoon, so I fixed myself a flax muffin with a full teaspoon of cinnamon. YUM! Had ribs with sugar free bqq sauce, zucchini, salad, and am so full I can hardly move.

Resisted weighing! I turned my neighbor on to this way of eating and she lost 6 lbs in four days...she loves it! We have had so much fun talking about recipes and sauces and all the things we could not eat on other diets.

Okay, Thursday, the day I promised I get to weigh my self. Wait, did I say...get to? How many times do we say that and be excited? It was a big day for me, fasting glucose at 86 and ..........
Okay, 180.0. Yep, 12.6 lbs gone. Holy catfish.......

Two things I have learned so far. I used to get dinner ready in about 30 mins to an hour. Now it takes several hours to plan, cook, mash cauliflower and all. It is all for a great result but I will be glad when I have it all down and it gets easier. And I discovered my antacid has sugar in it--3 grams! I am now on the search for a sugar free one. Gesh!

    Happy camper here!

I know, I know, I know...... I had it as a goal, but I think I will have to wait until this all slows down and becomes common place... Right now it is so exciting.....
I weighed this morning. I felt like it was a loss day yesterday. From 180.0lbs on Thursday to 179.5lbs on Saturday. uhhh...... holy catfish..... and we keep marching on..... (I started on cutting back at 199 last Jan. and finally started Atkins at 192 a month ago-this is nice....)

I have about 5lbs of stew in crockpot. Used turnips instead of potatoes. I did throw in about a cup of wine, but figured it would mostly cook off. Oh my goodness does it smell good. We will eat stew leftovers for day and then I will mix in more paprika and sour cream to create a new dish, stroganoff. Have to try rice cauliflower then! Maybe a few noodles for DH, he has been so patient with me. LOL He LOVES the new cooking I am doing, misses his beans but i get him a few baked beans every once in a while.

We are going to daughter's this weekend and I asked her to get me some eggs and bacon. Not turkey bacon either.... ick. I told her I would cook eggs for anyone who wanted them! I need to have breakfast there, the rest of the day I can cope.

Today is Monday, I WILL hold out until Thursday AM to weigh....but clothes are looser!

It is Weds and a busy day. I can't wait for tomorrow. I found out about coconut oil, I love the taste of coconut. I cooked my eggs withit this am, hardly a taste at all. But the fat is good for us. I found a good choco syrup carb free, everything free, and mixed some wiht a Tspoon of coconut oil. Dropped it on a plate and it is in fridge waiting for me to try it.... YUM.
