    LagunaPaul eats meats

    3 Days into induction. In addition to pork roast, cheese, turkey patties and eggs, I ate a few broccoli tops the first day, a small salad the second day. I wasn't hungry all day on the 3rd day, so I just had a cheese omelet and roast pork.

    Does anyone know if there are any carbs in Costco American swiss process cheese? The label says zero. However, that is per slice. Should I figure about 1 carb if I eat 3 slices?

    My appetite is about zero almost all the time. Things are going well.

    I'm strictly adhering to the diet after 4 full days. Yesterday was a small salad with a spoonful of tuna and egg salad mixed in and then 2 turkey patties. I'm getting a little worried though, as I have not yet lost any weight. I hear from other people about the significant weight loss that is normally experienced in the first 2 weeks, and I'm not losing any weight.

    I have noticed 2 things that really stand out. I am really overweight and this caused me to sweat like a pig in the mornings after my shower and while getting dressed. I would sweat to the point that sweat would run off my nose and my shirt collar would be very damp -- noticeably so. I didn't sweat yesterday getting ready for work and not today. Its nice wearing a dry shirt out the door in the morning. The other thing is that I'm a little foggy. My head is buzzing a little and notice that when I drive, things seem to go by in a bit of a daze. Nothing to be concerned over, but its noticeable.

    I just hope I start losing weight soon.

    Are you on the Atkins Induction phase Paul? If so, it looks like you need to eat more vegetables. You should ideally be getting 12-15ng of carbs from foundation vegetables. And drink loads of water - it does help with the weightloss.

    Also, perhaps cut out the cheese for now and see how it goes. If you follow the plan to the letter, you are guaranteed to lose weight!

    Ok, thanks for advice, Shingi. I'll cut out cheese and see where that gets me. I have been drinking about 3-4 liters of water a day. I don't think I can really drink anymore. I do believe that I am eating about 10-15 carbs of veggies almost each day. I'll watch that, but 10-15 gm of carbs is not very much at all. I weigh my broccoli and its only a hand full. I'll stay in induction for as long as it takes.
