    Question So what's for dinner?

    Hey all,
do ya'll (southern) make menu's ahead of time? Daily, weekly, or whatever you are in the mood for each meal. Not sure what I think is best for me, I am OCD and love to make list of everything just not sure about this.

I do some days... but I mostly like to eat what I'm in the mood for that day. It IS helpful when planning your carbs for the day, though, to have SOME idea of what you're eating. This is especially important in the beginning so you don't find yourself with no carbs left and you haven't had dinner... OR it's the end of the day and you haven't gotten all of your foundation veggies in.

Give it a shot... plan out a day or two and see how it goes. Just the act of planning a daily menu will help you understand the diet better even if you don't end up using the menu.

I am going to try that tonight. I mean I bought the main list from the Atkins suggested items yesterday. I guess it will be a chicken stir fry and salad tonight. Luckily, we love oil and vinegar dressing. Do you eat anything after a usually late dinner. My hubby gets off around 6:00.

I had about an 8 oz. Italian grilled chicken breast (cut up) for dinner with a slice of cheese in a low carb tortilla. I am stuffed. That's the beautiful thing about low carb living. I feel full much faster as long as I get my protein in.

I think it's great to plan ahead what you will eat. The worst thing that can happen is that you end up starving and you have nothing low carb to eat. That's a sure fire way fall off course. It happens, but you get right back up and go back to eating low carb. I am like Tril - I eat what I am in the mood for most of the time, but I keep a large stock of the things that I like in the fridge, freezer and pantry.

I'm not usually hungry after a late dinner... but if you are, eat. The fat and protein will "keep" you longer than carbs so it's not likely you'll get the munchies after dinner! Feed your hunger... eat to satisfaction.

You are right. I just had ribeye stir fry and an "Olive Garden" without the croutons and some of the other stuff. Dee-licious.
Don't think I will be hungry for a long time.
