    Breakfast Thicky

    I saw something simular on one of the River Cottage programmes (Channel 4, UK) so I adapted it for your enjoyement.

    One sachet Oat-so-simple (regular, unsweetened)
    One good scoop Whey Powder (with sweeteners - be careful they are the right sort). Vanilla or chocolate
    Three Oat sachets worth of very cold water
    A good gloop of double (heavy) cream
    Five or six raspberries
    Tiny drop of vanilla essence
    Ice cubes
    a spoon full of fibre sprinkles
    a spoon full of milled flax seeds

    Blend it up. (I use a hand shaker. You might prefer a blender)

    Drink some water first.

    Gulp it down.

    Is it that bad that you have to drink water first and then "gulp it down"?? Why do you do that to yourself??? LOL

    Ah. Yes. maybe a bit odd... But I'm pretty convinced that having a glass of water before each meal helps to dilute the effect of any stray sugars in food and to lower the insulin response which may result. Sometimes I don't bother, but I always get a pint of water first thing before having any breakfast at all.

    Oh, and I owe you an "oops". This should have been in recipes rather than menus.
