UGH... oh, David. I have SO been where you are right now and it's a horrid place to be. You expressed it so well. Hang in there... the longer you do, the sooner this will pass. Try something sour. I don't know why it works, but can sometimes. Get the sourest pickle you can find and suck on it! LOL

Your BLOG was AWESOME David! You are such a talented writer. Give yourself a pat on the back for that and for not giving into your cravings.

    Thanks, folks

Better today. I've been ok for about 2 days, so I think I'm normalising. However, I'm just about to head off to The Nook for its annual beer festival. I'd simply hate to miss it because it's one of the highlights of the town calandar.

I've allowed myself 2 pints. Famous last words...

Anyway. I'm a grown up so it's up to me to take responsibility for what I put in my tummy.

Not a bad week, all told. By my weigh-in today I hadn't gained any weight. So that's good, considering!

    Hi David,
You made me smile too about the gorilla. Made me think of cows. Mostly all they eat is grass, look how fat they are. Is there any justice in all this? Oh well, we do what we do that helps us as individuals. Vicki

    I'm back!

That's the last time I EVER go walking in the woods alone at night. This big light came from nowhere. Aliens took me away and made me eat Chinese Food for ten months solid. I've been back on earth for half an hour and you know what? I'm hungry already.

    Have I missed anything?

    Ha ha!

I've just checked my starting objective - to be under 12 stone by end of June... Okay.... I'll settle with being under 13 stone!

To be honest, the ideal weight for me would be 12 and a half stone. Which is erm... 175lb. I go on holiday at the end of July, so if I make it by then I'll be a very happy bunny. By my calculations, I have 15lb to lose. I've 34lb so far, so that's not such a big ask.

A n y w a y. How have you all been? I'm pretty much sticking to a low-carb regime, but it's odd how often some reason to "fall off the waggon" comes along. I've been mostly angelic during the day, but every now and then there's a cake at home, or a cold cider, or a Birthday Tea, or toast on a Sunday morning...

But on the "up" side, I've registered with Parkrun, and met some really nice people. I got my first 5k run time (24 minutes) and hopefully I'll be taking a few seconds off that in a couple of weeks.

My weight's been pretty constant anyway. But I'm fed up of not getting any thinner, so I'm going back to induction for a while Current weight is 190lb.

Here's a graph. Hope you can handle the excitement:

    David:

How is it going? Have not heard from you in a while. Drop the group a line -- good or bad.
