Has anyone ever seen a brand not cured with sugar? I haven't. I am assuming that it is an OK item since the sugar content is tiny.
Has anyone ever tried the Hormel Natural Bacon? It is cured with sugar but not with nitrates.

I've tried the natural stuff... I get an instant migraine if I eat nitrates/nitrites. It's okay. I'm not crazy about bacon... I associate it with pain. LOL
I think it's more important to avoid the nitrates/nitrites than the tiny bit of sugar in one serving. Maybe the key here is "one serving". Most people who love bacon and have "permission" to eat it don't stop at two slices.
I think I'll look for the Hormel the next time I shop. Two to three slices is about all I can handle at once and even that is not every day. I'd get sick of it if I ate it everyday and bacon is not cheap! But I do save the drippings so I get two uses.
I have many things in my life for which I am thankful. How about you?
I have bacon most days of the week - gotta try something different but it does seem to help with my weight loss. I am averaging 100 gsm per day right or a Kilo every 10 days. (2.2 pounds in Amerispeak)
I just tried Hormel last week and i think its some of the best bacon i've eaten. Have it about three times a week.
