You can't do that.... cups are a volume measurement and grams are a mass measurement. You can convert cups to l or ml, though. Or, you can convert pounds/ounces to grams. We (US) cook by volume.
Here's a conversion chart that might help you. There are lots of them online.

Thanks for the link. I was trying to search on the net but found similar results. I'll be more specified and hopefully you can help me figure out.
For example, 1 cup flax seed meal, broccoli, spinach.. (mainly veggies) how many gram or lbs will it be? I tried to find on the market the measuring cups but we do not have those bearing US measurementsand I'm afraid I'll over/undereat veggies.
Thanks again,
margaret

Again, it doesn't work that way. A cup of feathers will weight MUCH less than a cup of lead weight.
Are you trying to convert a recipe? Or just figure the carb count for foods? If it's the carb count, look up the foods you're eating based on grams.
Go to the USDA site... here's a link to the nutrition info for broccoli. You'll see that you can choose to base it on grams, per spear, by the cup, etc. Choose by 100 grams.
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcom...bin/measure.pl
From the chart that pops up, find the total carb count (6.64g). Next, find the fiber... 2.6g. The net carb (what you need to know) is 6.64 - 2.6. The net grams for 100 grams of raw broccoli is 4.04ng.
Unless you're converting a US recipe... skip the whole cup discussion and find your carb grams based on a metric measurement.

Thanks for the explanation and the link, that would be much easier for the carb count.
You're right, I'm trying to convert a receipe ..
Grazie mille.

Hi, Margaret -
29.6 milliliters in an ounce; 8 oz in a cup = 8 times 29.6 = 237
My measuring cup which I would use to measure a cup of flax seed also has milliliters on it (ml) and it appears to be about 237 (apx) ml. so that should be right.
Thanks for the measurment, that would be a great help.
