Just an FYI... that's a lot of cream in one day. The new Induction foods list just says to count the carbs in cream... but the list just prior to this one said this:

"Cream, heavy or light (limit to two to three tablespoons a day; note carbohydrate content)"

1 cup of heavy cream has 6g carb so your 1/3 cup had 2 grams... be sure to count that in your daily totals. It's about 0.3g per TBS.

Something to be aware of... esp since most cream containers will tell you one serving = 0g. It's not true, but allowed by law.

Thanks for the clarification on the cream The food manufacturers certainly can be tricky when it comes to listing those carbs!

Luckily, I was still within my daily allowance.

It's not the manufacturers... it's the laws. That's why Splenda can be advertised as a "zero calorie sweetener". It has less then 5 calories per serving... but a cup of the measureable stuff has nearly 100 calories and each of those packets has 1 gram of carb as each g of carb = 4 calories, it can say zero on the package.

FDA rules so you know what your label is REALLY saying (as of 5/09):

    Calories - < 5 cal - express as 0

    Total Carbohydrate - < .5 g - express as 0

If you'd like to see all of the FDA "rounding" rules check this out...

    Hi!

Why don't you start a thread on the Progress Board (forgive me if you have and I missed it!)

We'd love to hear how you are doing.

I see you are in Virginia. I'm in Henrico (Richmond) and glad I only got 5" of snow Saturday...manageable.

    My best to you!
