    From left to right.
Me at the weight I was steady at for about 20 years 210lbs (15 stones)
Me with the Hummer from my holidays this month.
Me playing with the dog 2-3 months ago.
Me about 2 months ago I am about 7lbs lighter now.
Jester the police dog pup day 1.
Me at my heaviest summer 08 about 250lbs.
Then finally Jester the police dog a few days before he went to his handler, someone has just rang the doorbell his reaction was so fierce we had to get a picture.

So I hope the pictures of me don't turn your stomach too much, the loss has purely been through Atkins/low carbing.

So Atkins UK feel free to offer me a job! lol Wife Hilary Kids Sarah and James.

Nice progress and it looks like finish. I gotta say though, that dog caught my eye right away. That guy is terrifying looking. Do you train dogs for the Police Dept? My wife wants a German Shepard because she likes bigger dogs that might be scarier to an intruder. I think he would certainly fit the bill.

Hi Batlou,I have also checked your pictures and the results are really noticeable.

I put the pics of the dog on as I mentioned him in my thread and people seemed interested and I have only now figured out how to post pictures.

The way it works is the West Yorks Police who I work for and is the 5th biggest UK force has a large police dog breeding programme. The smaller local forces buy dogs from West Yorks as its cheaper and they don't need as many dogs.

The force has 5-6 litters of 7-8 pups per year most of them are sired by an absolute monster of a dog called Leo ( lucky old Leo!) once they are born they are with their mothers for the usual 8 weeks. Then they are farmed out to voluntary puppy walking families until they are ready for the training programe usually 7-8 months. So they get used to people especially kids, pets etc.

During this time the dogs are assessed periodically by the force dog man to see how they are doing.Jester my dog and his whole litter passed everything with flying colours and went onto the training programme early.

As a house dog he was phenomenal any intruder would have been mince but yet he was playful with kids next door have small kids and he loved them.

He was extremely playful with us they are preprogrammed to bite and chew so don't leave your $200 sneakers out.In the end when playing with him we had to use anti knife/stab gloves.

He needed 2-3 hours a day exercise and not just walking running and chasing and fetching too or he wouldn't be tired at night.

I would recommend a German shepherd but they ARE a handful, but would sort any intruder out the sheer presence of a GSD would be enough to make a burglar go elsewhere.
