    Cant eat another egg!!!

    Hi guys,

I am struggling with breakfast options as i couldnt stand to eat another egg!! Ive eaten them scrambled, fried, boiled, omelette - you name it for the past year and i really need another option or two.

Are oats terrible for you? Fruit is pretty much a no no too isnt it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

In the winter, I like to make a hot flaxmeal (kind of like oatmeal.) In addition to the ground flax, I use oat bran and soy protein isolate. There are a number of versions posted on this site. I like mine with butter, splenda and cinnamon.

Some mornings I'll have cheese and salami or summer sausage (when I don't have time or don't want eggs and it's hot out.)

I'll eat cole slaw... and chicken.... when I get tired of my two fried eggs. Or, like Tracy, a hamburger with leftover veggies... or even salsa. You can eat anything for b'fast that you'd eat any other time of day on Atkins.

Ah! burger for breakfast. Isn't that what got us to the stage of having to diet in the first place?

I like to slice up thin slices of zucchini, daikon or cucumber (pat it dry) and spread each round with a little Philly Creamed Cheese Salmon flavor! My Atkins "lox and bagel"! I like little ham roll ups - spread a little whipped creamed cheese on the thinly sliced ham, sometimes add a little minced olive, roll up and you're good to go! And eggs are so very, very good if you make a crustless quiche, especially with some spinach in them. Not like the same old, same old eggs.

i often have my eggs in the form of a flax-muffin (2 eggs, 2 tbsp flax, 2 tbsp choc protein powder (1 gram carb) few drops liquid sweetener, mix and micro for 2.5 mins) - then slather with butter oh YEAH!

what about the atkins shakes? I love the dark choc royale! or a protein bar? I know what you mean about the eggs though ... try some of the Atkins baking mixes...I used to make this awesome pizza, but the soy flour is the base and of course eggs! I would pile high the pepperoni's and cheese and man that would hit the spot and if you add mushrooms, and your other favs that prob would also be good for breakfast! Thing is I am having a rough time finding the atkins stuff besides the traditional shakes and bars they sell at the grocery stores and vitamin shop. I am thinking ordering online might be the only option. Also try the la tortillafactory tortillas they are awesome and you can do a veggie wrap or burrito?

I personally still love eggs but I add so much stuff to them that you usually can't taste the eggishness. My favorite is southwestern eggs. I scramble up a couple and top with grated cheese, a few tablespoons of pico de gallo, and maybe a litle bit of avocado. Not really induction friendly, but it will work afterwards. It's great with a low carb tortilla all wrapped up, but I like them just fine on a plate by themselves.

That being said, you want to avoid eggs so my favorite breakfast on the go is a couple pieces of bacon, a small handful of almonds, and a string cheese stick. Easy to eat in the car on the way to work or once I get there if I'm in a real big hurry. But I always eat extra veggies at lunch if I eat a breakfast like that.

just threw my eggs in the garbage, as i just couldn't stand the sight/taste of them

but! am making some more muffins, and they have 3 of those eggy babies in them so i'll eat those, because i also need the protein for my bodypump class today. i skipped the berries, today, but still added the coconut.

oh, another way is to sprinkle some cinnamon on the top and bottom...and if your whey powder has no sweetener (mine does, so i forgot to mention) - add some liquid sweetener for zero carbs, or granulated splenda for around a carb a teaspoon. (to taste).

enjoy snicks and all - they are YUMMMOOOOOOO

ps - another alternative of course, is to just have some fried chicken for breakfast
