Hey,
I'm brand new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me find shirataki noodles in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I have Celiac disease so these sound ideal for me as they are low carb and gluten free.
Thanks!
Yvette

If you can't find them locally in Asian or health food stores (look in the refrigerated section) you can probably order them from here:

Thanks! Other sites I saw were all American and were unclear about duty etc to Canada.
I just ordered several things that I wasn't able to find locally! Can't wait for them to arrive![]()
Thanks again!
No problem! I found that website with google.![]()
if only they'd ship to australia.....
siiigh -
which reminds me - i found a japanese grocery store nearby (ish) - should try to find those noodles!!!
mmmm, laksa......
I finally got them and tried the noodles last night.
Not bad. The liquid it ships in smells HORRIBLE. You really have to rinse it A LOT...and then rinse it some more. LOL
I boiled them for 4 minutes and then had it with some low carb pasta sauce and chicken. A nice change of pace.
One thing I didn't do that they recommend is to cut them into smaller sizes before boiling.I wish I had because it was harder to eat with them left long.
There are some Asian grocery stores around here. Now that I know the noodles are good I may ask them to see if they can start bringing them in.
I called around and found the noodles at the Asian stores in Halifax and area, cheaper than ordering on line. Great...after rinsing..with different sauces. Alfredo was tasty with chicken. Bob's Red Mill products carry some good products. I'm waiting for superstore to call me back to see if she can order some backing supplies for me. you can get many low carb products from Toronto area store, look on line. No need to go the US route at all and shipping is cheap.
