New member before and after pics

Hello all! I’m pretty new to this website and have only posted a few times.

Here are my before and after pictures. The heavier picture is in 2004 and I’m pretty sure that was within the first couple of months of starting to eat better. I am 5’11” and was my heaviest at around 215 to 220 lbs. The lighter picture is of me from this week and right around 166 lbs. I have been able to stay around that weight for the last year and a half.

The weight change is a result of the Atkins diet and exercise. Right now I’m trying to eat right and play soccer and bike ride 3 to 6 times a week.

Just an FYI, both pics are in Florida and the one with the surf board is cocoa beach incase there are any Floridians out there on this message board.

    Looking forward to posting more.

You look REALLY good... and not just thinner, but healthier, too. You must feel amazing, especially when you look at your pictures.

Congrats... on your weight loss and on keeping it off!

thanks guys! i just wish i could work out the upper body some though. i was never into those exercises. i'm into the leg workouts, i.e. the biking and soccer i listed above.

for anyone else reading this, try to add some exercise to that diet. i personally think that they both work about the same (diet and exercise). so if you are losing 1 pound a week on just atkins then add some regular exercise into that diet and maybe it'll be 2 pounds a week. not to mention all the other great benefits of exercise like not getting tired after doing certain tasks, bigger lungs, stronger heart, more toned muscles, etc.

you might want to watermark your pictures so they don't get stolen for some fad diet banner ad.

Seems to be a real problem at some of the other boards. Almost all those lose 25 pounds with 1 rule are atkins message board stolen pics

    and nice work.

Nice work, a simple way to add upper body to your workout if your a runner. At the end of your run go find a picnic table or bench. I do the following at the end of each run.
3 X 15 Dips (Legs straight out and crossed)
3 X 15 Pushups (Feet on bench hands on ground)
    3 X 15 Tri-Pushups (Hands in close)
It's easy to add this because I am usually looking for a bench to stretch anyway and I just knock this out while I am there adds maybe 10 minutes.

Have you ever considered working out with a kettlebell? Those are great for upper body work and they're FUN.

No, they're not fun to carry around with you... but they are fun to swing!

thanks for the exercise tips. i'll have to try some of those out.

and i didn't even think about my pics being stolen and posted on ads. i think i'm getting to old and too trusting now. don't know all of the things the kiddies are up to, :P i wouldn't imagine people stealing pics and doing things like that, honest, not trying to sound sarcastic. however my best computer drawing skills are paint, maybe word has watermarking. i'll see what i can do, thanks for the heads up.

and in case anyone else reading this is wondering, i did not steal those pics! that is me. call out a pose or a saying and i'll add it to a pic, hehe, j/k.
