mmorlock- before and during (almost 50 lb. mark!)

    Name: Michelle
    Age: 18. 19 in a month
    Height: 5'4"
    Starting Weight: 204
    Current weight: 158
    Goal weight: 125

I still have some weight left to lose, my goal weight is roughly 125. For my height, this is a healthy target.

    Thanks for everyone's input!

You look amazing! I bet you feel so much better than you did. As my 17-year-old son would say, you're a hottie!

You look great, well done, your pictures are inspiring.

How long did it take you to lose the 50+ lbs?

My eyes are green actually! It's hard to tell from these pictures.

Thank you everyone for the encouraging comments.

SICKOFHOWILOOK, it was a real struggle with me to lose this weight. I've been on and off diet programs since January 07, but I've been low-carb for roughly 5 months now and went from 186 to currently 152.

I went from 204 to 175 through going to the gym, gained 11 lbs back, and decided I needed an eating plan to go along with it. I found my atkins book at Goodwill, and the debit card machine wasn't working properly so the lady gave it to me free of charge (it was only 1.99 to begin)

I've found this WOE to be incredibly satisfying, difficult at times being in a college enviroment (with dining halls and my roommate ordering copious amounts of chinese takeout..) but I have managed to lose 12 lbs since the beginning of school, September 2nd.

We also have a great workout facility which I usually go everyday, and sometimes take off a day if my body is not feeling up to par. I change day-by-day; some days I do the elliptical for 40 minutes, other times I run on the treadmill for 30 minutes and do the stair climber for 15 (whoo, a killer on the legs!)

I also finish up my workout with about a half-hour of strength training. I've found it difficult to work in an hour and a half at the gym daily with my college scheedule.. homework, classes, studying etc. and I've also just added a new job on top of everything.

but I'm hoping it works out! I may need to start going to the gym in the mornings, yuck.

any other comments please feel free to ask!
it's nice to elaborate once in awhile

You look wonderful! So inspirational to look at all the pictures posted on this site. I was wondering what reactions you are getting from friends and family now that you've changed so much? Do people ever not recognize you?

That would be fun! I can't wait to have some results since I just started!

The reactions are such a breath of fresh air! It makes the whole process worth-while

I only see my dad's side of the family once a year for Christmas because they're all in Florida.. I can't wait for them to see the results! My family is always very supportive of me, except my grandmother thinks any time I lose some weight I must not be eating.

I wish it were easier to make others understand how much we DO eat!
