    Strawberryblonde...the thin within.

Ok I'll give this a shot, the progress journal that is. I'm pretty positive this is working, I just need to give it time and be patient.

    November 07 start weight: 115kg
Initial goal weight: prepregnancy weight of 90kg
Longer goal weight: 75kg would be perfect

Otherwise healthy, mother of 2 girls, still breastfeeding one. Currently trying to decide if two children is enough. I don't want to go through the weight gain again and DH won't let me have anymore anyway.

5'10" tall, size 12 feet, yup I'm not small, even when I am skinnier.

Why do I like this diet? It takes all my food "issues" away from me, no more obsessing about food and not knowing what to eat when I get up. I can have some indulgence food that is allowed, and I know what I have to do later when I've lost the weight I need to. I know what to do if I slip up and gain a bit, but I know I'll never end up at this weight again.

Wow.... As if I'm writing my own story. I began 115kg (253 lbs) started with a low calorie diet, lost 12 kg but I got fed up and shifted to Atkins and lost 11 more. I feel great ..I'm 92 kgs now (202 lbs)(same weight before pregnancy)and I really need to be 75(like when I got married). I have 2 daughters too but the only different thing is that I'm 5 7'. Atkins makes me feel great. I no longer miss chocolate or pasta.. Good luck to you in your journey.

Thanks mneemnee, yes it's funny isn't it how you no longer miss so many of those foods that were the source of the problem. Probably the only thing I miss a bit is a bowl of homemade muesli or a sandwich, but I don't crave them so it's not a problem.

The only time I ever gained large amounts of weight in the last 10 years or so was when I was pregnant and since I think we're not going to have anymore kids, every kg I lose I feel that it's the last time I will ever be at that weight. I've been this heavy 3 times now. NO MORE... I am going to get myself back to being the person I know I can be and feel comfortable at.

Mneemnee how old are your girls? Mine are 5 and 15 months.

Hi, I'm 29 years and my 2 daughters are 3 and 1. Yes, I really am thinking no more kids.... no more weight again. I believe that I feel much better when old clothes begin to fit rather than eating my FAVORITE cinnamon rolls.

Couple of details I forgot to add, my age newly 30 and my current weight after 6 weeks on low carb is 109kg.

So 6kg in 6 weeks. Not so bad when I look at it like that.

I'm currently trying to figure out how my hormones play a part in my loss. Seem to get darker ketostix at different part of the month, but haven't yet had time to chart results to figure it out.

Mneemnee we seem to be on a parallel life path! Do you have a progress thread running too? I might look it up and have a peek.

Today i'm going to hunt up an old wedding pic to post as my inspiration.

Still sitting on 109kg, but it's ok I can be patient. Hey it's better than the alternative, gaining weight.
I wanted to post a pic of the time I felt my best so here goes. Nope it won't let me, says it's a big spam error or something HELP.

I was about 85 kg at our wedding about 6 years ago. Guess I had just turned 24 and I felt great. I had even been lighter at 79kg a year earlier but a two month visit to DH family in Seattle put a few pounds on, he took me to all his fav eating places. But I didnt care, was in love and getting married!!

I'm having a bit of trouble keeping my calorie intake up i think, and not enough carbs too I think. I just lose track as the day rushes by and often I don't get to dinner till 9pm after bub finally crashes. I have to snack on sticks of celery, capsicum and cucumber to get extra greenery.

Drinking enough water I think. It's hot, humid so it comes easily.
    I'm getting there

You summed it up for me as well with the above. All the best Em.
Congrats on the loss so far.

Not sure about posting a pic link. Is it on a website the picture?

    I'm not sure.
Maybe have a look at some of the web address links others have successfully uploaded pics to in this forum then you know it will work.

I wish I knew how much your weight loss was in pounds or that we were taught the metric system, cuz our weights were almost the same at the start.

    Sounds good though!

Okay I ran a conversion on my stats...
    Start weight:253 pounds
    Currently:240
    Initial goal:198
    Long term goal:165

I would be very comfy at 165, I got told I was looking too skinny last time I was at 174, probably because people are so used to seeing me bigger.

So that's 13 pounds in 7 weeks..sounds better in lbs than it does in kg!!

I have no idea bout how to convert manually either but there are heaps of websites you can find just by putting 'convert kilograms to pounds' or vice versa, and by entering the value you will have the answer in seconds
not sure if i am allowed to post a link so won't, but that's what i do.
