Low Carb & Atkins Diet

I started on March 6th of 2008 and this is just over a year later. I had not really thought about doing a before photo because I had avoided the camera so much. I stumbled on this photo browsing the other day. I would still put on another 20 lbs or so after this was taken but you get the idea.

It's no wonder I snored so much...look at them jowls. eck. LOL

Bought me some new jeans to wear when I hit goal. 32 Inch waist, BTW... I have not worn that size since I was in elementry school. Even though I have been at this weight before I was never this fit.

I am working on the skinny mans belt. For now I just keep punching holes in the old ones. Actually the one in the after picture I bought at about 230 lbs and have already punched a few holes in it.

I do the same thing! I have two belts, only, and a block of wood, a nail and a hammer! On the really big belt, I cut a "V" chunk off the front edge so I could "shorten" the thing. I have lost eight inches off my waist in my 33 pounds! Female "apple shapes" tend to carry an extremely excess of weight around the middle. This indicates a propensity to heart disease. I already had ONE heart attack, so I am SO happy about losing those belly inches! Ain't Atkins grand??

At Goal...I meant to post this a while back but never got around to it. A big part of my success was continuing to post on this site even when things were not going my way.

Regarding the belt, I have still not bought one. The old one has some sentimental value now and also serves as a nice reminder of where I was and where I am now. Have not decided if I should retire it yet.
