Low Carb & Atkins Diet

This is my first post here but I am truly excited by the results I have had with Atkins over the past 4 months. I have been Type II diabetic for 12 years and have really never had my blood sugar levels under control. A1C's 8 - 8.5 I have taken Actos 45 mg, Tolazimide 250 mg
and Metformin 1000 mg daily and I was getting worse. I was getting morning readings of 280-320 0n my blood monitor and staying in the high 180's throughout the day. Recently my doctor wanted to add another med called Glubride to my prescriptions as I was out of control and on my way to insulin shots. I said enough and followed a friends advice and gave Adkins a try along with the advice from my family Doc. Now 4 months into the Diet I have lost 33 pounds I no longer take any meds at all and my morning levels are between 85-100 avg and I have not seen my blood sugar go over 115 in months even if I cheat a little for dinner or a desert. My energy levels are way up and I have experienced many other benefits a much better and fulfilling love life with my wife, better mental attitude, better vision, better sleep and over all a much better life now. All I can say is that it worked for me and I am excited to be living again and feeling good.
