I have to admit then when I am following the Atkins plan I feel so much healthier and not dependent on food (which I love). You would think that it would be so easy to eat this way for the rest of my life but somehow I get tripped up. So why is it that I feel the need to go back to my old ways every so often? |

same reason as me i suppose (JUST GUESSING of course):
i still don't value myself enough to do what's right for me ALL THE TIME
also ...i still want to reward/soothe myself with those things that cause a chemical "feel-good" reaction (carbs release...is it serotonin?? anyway, you get my drift)
etc-ec
but we will get there my friend - one day, one good choice at a time...we will retrain ourselves!!

Thanks Tracy! I am trying to stay on track (doesn't seem to be hard at the moment)...but I just feel like no matter what I end up getting off track...I think part of it is stress...because I noticed that I do stress eat and of course not the stuff I can eat, but the junk that no one should ever eat. |

hey Bear - i know!!! i was saying to my friends the other night - my favourite thing to eat these days is SF lemon-lime jello, made with coconut cream, and dess. coconut, and sometimes whipped cream. this is very decadent and delicious BUT! i still want my dh's doritos!
whats up with that?!?!?!?
